The winter storm has made conditions treacherous. The roads are slick and risky. The parking lot at the church is a sheet of ice. It is not likely that the current weather conditions will experience much change over the next few days. Therefore, for everyone’s safety Ash Wednesday Mass had been canceled. I hope and pray that you are safe, warm and with electricity!
Ever loving God,
in your infinite goodness,
you inflamed the heart of your servant and religious,
Sister Thea Bowman
with an ardent love for you and all people.
May her prophetic witness
continue to inspire us
to share the Good News with all,
but especially with the poor, oppressed and marginalized.
May Sister Thea’s life and legacy
compel us to walk together.
Gracious God
imbue us with the grace and perseverance
that you gave your servant, Sister Thea,
for in turbulent times of racial injustice,
she sought equity, peace, and reconciliation.
In times of intolerance and ignorance,
she brought wisdom, awareness, unity, and charity.
May her light be a beacon of goodness and holiness
in our troubled times.
We make our prayer through Christ, our Lord.
Amen.
Public Mass has resumed. Because of the pandemic, Mass will be celebrated under a set of norms and protocols. Please see the protocols for Mass here.
We will also celebrate Daily Mass on Wednesdays at 6pm in the main sanctuary temporarily.
We will continue to live stream Sunday Mass at 9am.
My Jesus,
I believe that You are present
in the Most Holy Sacrament.
I love You above all things,
and I desire to receive You into my soul.
Since I cannot at this moment
receive You sacramentally,
come at least spiritually into my heart.
I embrace You as if You were already there
and unite myself wholly to You.
Never permit me to be separated from You.
Amen.
The sessions for our children meet, after Sunday Mass, on the 2nd and 4th Sunday of each month
The sessions will resume again in September.
